Great house. Loved the open floor plan of the community spaces. Kitchen was very well equipped and so appreciate having the 'left over" spices and flour/sugar from others. Lots of great towels too which is always welcome.

Abundant and high quality cooking appliances and pans/dishware. House pics were very representative of the property. No surprises.

Robin's Nest accommodated our ski group of 10 perfectly. The location was a huge hit and the access was perfect for any level of skier. A previous review of this property on March 2016 gave us exact directions how to ski-in/ski-out for the first day. It was so easy to ski back to the house for lunch everyday before heading out for the afternoon and ending the day in the hot tub. The views were amazing! It was a quick drive back to the base to pick up any apres skiiers in our group from Montana Jacks, Westward Social or Scissorbills. Robin's Nest had everything you could need in a luxury ski-in/ski-out home!- Karen H , Posted: 10/01/2020

Amazing property, even better than the pictures! Large spaces, taseteful furnishings, plenty of linens, well stocked kitchen, TVs all around with DirecTV, gaming console, board games, card table, foosball table, etc., big two car garage, snowshoes, inflatable tube to sled downhill, great deck/hot tub area, mud/ski room with full washer/dryer. There were 10 of us all together (2 Famililes, 4 adults and 6 kids ages 8-17) and could not have had a better place in which to enjoy our ski vacation. Ski out access is literally 1 step off the mud room in a groomed trail that leads down to Pony Express. Ski in access is also easy once you orient yourself on the mountain (Ski down Blue Moon Run and stay on your left hand side as if you were going down to MoonlightLodge/Iron Horse, you will see the first house in the Diamond Hitch development on your right (the one with 2 DirecTV anntennas, make a right turn before that house. Follow the groomed flatish trail down to a fork and stay on your left hand side for the Diamond Hitch Run (the right hand side is the Twin Tunnels run) if you see a Pirate Flag on your right side marking one of the homes you are on the right track. A couple of hundred feet below you will literally come to a place where you cross the street (Diamond Hitch Road) there was plenty of snow so you could ski through it. Immediately after crossing the street, make a right before the first trees parallel to the street until the trail makes a left on its own and you will immediately see the mud room on your right). Again once you do it once, its very easy. All in all a fantastic time. Will definetely come back!- Eugenio G , Posted: 10/01/2020

We spent 3 days in Big Sky and we had a fabulous time. There were 13 of us and the house was perfect. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed and the bedrooms were comfortable and provided a great space for each person. The views are magnificent and we even ran into a moose 50 yds. from the house on the first night! The hot tub was great and the back porch was a fun place to hang out. We definitely felt at home. The only suggestion I have for summer time visitors is to remember bug spray. The mosquitoes were out in full force. This trip provided many terrific memories for our family!- Raye A , Posted: 10/01/2020

The house was perfect for our group of 13. The kitchen was large and well laid out for multiple cooks making enough to feed the hungry crowd. The rooms had comfortable beds and the supplied spa style bathrobes were a nice touch and perfect for trips to the outdoor hot tub. Skiing out was easy, but back in took some map reading skills. This is a mountain issue, not the rental home, but just letting you know. The radiant floor heating system kept every ones toasty. It took a little trial and error to figure out what thermostat controlled which room. The Management company was very responsive to any requests or needs and aimed to make our stay memorable, it was. The views from the rental were gorgeous! It was only a short drive to the new wholefoods market and a few shops. We did our major shopping near the airport before we drop up and I recommend that. The washer and dryer are new and made keeping up with hot tub towels and ski laundry easy. We used the TV to stream music which was nice. The living room was large with lots of seating and worked well for playing group games. The house was everything we wanted and felt like a 5 start hotel. Of course the great meals we cooked didn't hurt. The mountain is big by my east coast standards and never got boring. We had two children under 6 with us and they were able to ski in/out with us so this is a family friendly rental. You will love this home for a large group.- Eileen S KNOXVILLE , Posted: 10/01/2020

We researched all the homes on the mountain and IMHO this one has the best ski access. We stayed opening weekend when 98% of the mountain was closed but could still ski in and out through the front door. Had to walk across the street because there was minimal snow but easy enough even for our little kids. When Moonlight opens (Dec 12th) they groom right upto the back door we're told for even easier access. The house is much nicer than the pictures look. Good quality linens and comfortable bedding. Kitchen was well appointed. Everything was clean, well maintained and easy to use for our big group. Big Sky had filled it's void of decent grocery shopping with Roxy's supermarket in town that opened a month earlier. Good coffee and produce. Still can pre-order groceries at Albertsons' in Bozeman and pick up after a late flight or have delivered from The Hungry Moose ahead of time. Hot tub views of the setting sun on the Spanish Peaks in one direction and straight up Challenger Lift in the other were priceless. Best ski vacation yet and we've stayed at some pretty fancy places. We can't wait for the nest trip.- Anonymous , Posted: 10/01/2020

Are you kidding me with this place. My family and I spent a few days here and the place is very nice. Exactly what we were looking for in a Mountain Top Ski In and Ski Out house. The place is set up for comfort with a huge fireplace, and the kitchen is ready to cook anything. I think an underrated perk of staying at Diamond Hitch and this house was how easy ski in and ski out is. We did not have to pack up the truck each day with our ski equipment, instead we just stepped outside. So easy and STRESS FREE.- Chris T Lake Forest, Illinois , Posted: 10/01/2020

I went on a ski vacation with friends and we stayed in this house. It was perfect for our 12 person group. We were able to strap on our skis on the deck in the morning and ski right down to the lifts. At lunch time we stopped back in for sandwiches and snacks. The hot tub helped relieve the aches in my legs at the end of the day too. Overall, a 5 star house.- Matt J , Posted: 10/01/2020

We had the pleasure of staying at this house for 5 days with my wife and kids and 2 other couples with kids. The bunk beds down stairs were perfect for all the kids, with plenty of bedrooms for the adults as well. Hot tub out on the deck with unbelievable views of the Spanish peaks awaited us every evening after a long day of skiing. House is super easy to get to from Moonlight or Big Sky ski in and ski out. Foosball table, card table, huge kitchen, huge dining room table. All the furnishings are well maintained and look great. We absolutely cannot wait to stay here again, will be coming back next year for sure.- Anonymous , Posted: 10/01/2020

This is a palatial home that was obviously constructed to host large groups to enjoy the winter at Big Sky with ski in - ski out convenience. Our visit however was in late June, early July. It is absolutely beautiful there that time of year. I reckoned the elevation at the house to be about 8,600' so it never got more than comfortably warm during the day and just a little chilly at night (windows open and a light blanket was perfect). The stargazing from the hot tub was amazing. Daytime vistas from the deck are inspiring. Two days we made the 1+ hour drive to Yellowstone National Park and another day we drove about twice as far to visit Grand Teton National Park. After our daily photo safaris, we returned to the house and cooked gourmet meals in the fully appointed kitchen (outside gas grill too). Buy your groceries in Bozeman before you drive to Big Sky. FYI, not all the ski season establishments stay open in summer but plenty of them do. Recommend "The Cabin" which is not far from the house. Lone Peak Brewing is just a bit further and well worth it if you enjoy pub grub and craft beer. Other available activities include: Fly fishing on the Gallatin River (many guides available, we found the trout there to be cooperative!) There are too many scenic hikes nearby to list. Mountain biking down Lone Peak (we did not, but a Big Sky ski lift operates for people that wish to). Golf (we did not) Horses (we did not) Big Sky is a terrific laid back summer destination and this house is an awesome place to stay. All the expected amenities: Comfortable beds and furniture, strong showers, fire place, fire sprinklers, satellite TV in several places, internet, DVD, even a foosball table. Our cell phones worked fine which might be good or bad depending on your point of view. We had a blast with this awesome house as our base! I would highly recommend this house to everyone.- James , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property Manager: Big Sky Vacation Rental team members showed up after check in to make sure there were no issues with the rental and to go over all procedures. We had a small maintenance issue and a technician was there within an hour of being contacted. Excellent customer service. Property: The rental was very comfortable for our group of 13. The bunk room and downstairs game room were great for kids. All the adults had comfortable beds with attached bathrooms. The kitchen was extremely well stocked with all you need to prepare your own meals. The family room was spacious with plenty of seating for a large group. Property Manager: The Big Sky staff was very friendly and helpful on the phone. They provided us with very informative emails in advance, and a helpful orientation at the home when we arrived. We had one request while we were there, and they responded immediately. Property: We loved staying at this house during the Fourth of July week for an extended family reunion! (ML Robins Nest) The mountain setting and view is spectacular. The house is perfect for a large family or multiple couples. The gracious, lodge-like great room is very comfortable for lounging and socializing. The kitchen is the best equipped of any vacation home we've ever stayed at. Better than most permanent kitchens! Property: Very family oriented, loved by all! I spent months pouring over home listings around Big Sky and settled on Robin's Nest. We had 2 kids (4 & 5) and 11 adults. This 5 bedroom/5 bath home was a perfect fit. The living room is large and the dining room table held 13 people. The large galley style kitchen was easy for many people to work in. The laundry room is also the point where you enter/exit to get your skis/boards on. This was very convenient. Our 4 & 5 yo had no problem skiing out of the house down to the Pony Express. Skiing in is a tad more difficult. Once you do it and know where you are going it is easy to navigate. Due to the type of tickets we purchased we had to redeem them each morning. This was conveniently done at the Moonlight Lodge which is easily accessible from the Pony Express lift. Also the Moonlight base and Big Sky base of the mountain are both easily accessible from the house. Everyone at Book Big Sky was wonderful to work with. They picked us up several times throughout the week we were there. I can't say enough how pleased we were with this home. We loved the wood fire place and used the hot tub everyday! We went to Yellowstone one day and had a terrific time. I would highly recommend this home to groups who have singles and/or children.- djenplus3 , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property: Luxury on the Slopes The house was perfect for our group of 13. The radiant floor heating system kept every one toasty. The house was everything we wanted and felt like a 5 star hotel. Of course the great meals we cooked didn't hurt. The mountain is big by my east coast standards and never got boring. We had two children under 6 with us and they were able to ski in/out with us so this is a family friendly rental. You will love this home for a large group.- Eileen S , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property: Amazing views, amazing property- We had the pleasure of staying at this house for 5 days with my wife and kids and 2 other couples with kids. We absolutely cannot wait to stay here again, will be coming back next year for sure.- Michael S , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property: Great for Big or Small Groups, and the Ski In/Out is A++. I love this place. I go on 2 trips a year with friends and family and this is one of the best places we have stayed at. The house has a ton of space, comfortable beds, great kitchen, and one of the best views in the West. The Ski in, Ski out is so easy too!- Chris T , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property: Awesome in the Summer! Recommend The Cabin which is not far from the house. Lone Peak Brewing is just a bit further and well worth it if you enjoy pub grub and craft beer. Big Sky is a terrific laid back summer destination and this house is an awesome place to stay. All the expected amenities: Comfortable beds and furniture, strong showers/nice towels, fire place, fire sprinklers, satellite TV in several places, internet, DVD, major appliances, even a Foosball table. Our cell phones worked fine which might be good or bad depending on your point of view. We had a blast with this awesome house as our base! I would highly recommend this house to everyone.- chreap , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property: I have stayed at Robin's Nest in the winter and enjoyed the convenient ski in/out but had never experienced the house in summer until now. What a beautiful, quiet setting. Warm sunny days that lingered late into the evening, then cool enough for a crackling fire inside. The hot tub was just right after the sun (finally) went down. Lots of hikes available nearby. Terrific fly fishing right at the base of Lone Mtn Trail (Gallatin River). Just an hour drive to Yellowstone. Robin's Nest is a great summer destination too - highly recommend.- Illinois , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property: Do We Really Have To Go Home??? We stayed at Robins Nest over MLK Weekend 2013 with three families traveling together (total of 6 adults and 8 kids). This house was the perfect fit. You can not beat the convenience of the ski-in/ski-out location, and loved the benches and cubbies in the garage to make gearing-up super easy. The house is incredibly well-appointed, cozy, and comfortable. Anything you could possibly need has been thought through and accommodated. In my mind, I am still sitting in the picture window, looking out onto that unbelievable view. My only two comments in terms of improvement: it would be nice if the couch in the basement was a sleeper sofa and the hot tub could use an upgrade. This is the second year in a row that we have rented properties with Big Sky Vacation Rentals, and they never disappoint. Their staff is extremely courteous and ready to assist at any turn. Should we return to Big Sky (God willing!), Bsvr will be our first call and Robins Nest will be top of our list!- Maryland , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property Manager : On a Friday night a Big Sky Vacation Rental member called & said we were not going to be able to stay in the home we had planned on checking into on Tuesday because of an issue that had come up with that rental. This issue was through no fault of theirs. My heart sank as our family of 16 had planned on this week for 9 months. The rental member was so delightful to work with. She immediately emailed me links to view other properties that would accommodate 16 people & said to not look at the price as they would pay anything over and above the amount we had already paid. After visiting with family, viewing the rentals, calling the rental member with a couple questions we decided on Robins Nest. I had hoped for 2 ovens because of my Thanksgiving menu but there was only one so the rental member offered to leave her own personal electric roaster for cooking the turkey. She worked through the weekend making sure Robins Nest was ready for our check in on Tuesday. It was very evident our satisfaction was her top priority. We appreciate Big Sky Vacation Rentals and would definitely recommend them and will do business with them again. , Property : Great place to stay. Accommodated 10 adults & 6 children. Very well equipped with housewares and amenities.- Sandra , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property Manager : Everyone was very responsive and extremely kind to speak with. Before arriving, the directions were very clear and they answered any questions I had. Once there, it started snowing pretty heavily one of the mornings, and I called the guest services line to ask some questions and they were super nice and helpful! We had an excellent time! , Property : This property was EXCELLENT! A beautiful home, fully stocked, and the location was perfect. We enjoyed spending quality time making fresh meals, sitting by the fire, playing games, watching movies and enjoying the hot tub as well. The home is also very conveniently located to restaurants, activities like dog sledding, skiing, and also the town center - there was no shortage of things to do!- Shilpa , Posted: 10/01/2020

Property Manager: It was a pleasure dealing with Big Sky Vacation Rentals. From our first inquiry about finding a property through our stay at ML Robins Nest, we received all the information we needed to make our week at Big Sky Resort an incredible experience. Property: ML Robin's Nest was the perfect house for our extended family of 15. The house is beautiful and the layout is super great for a large group. The kitchen is nicely appointed with everything we needed for our dinners. We all enjoyed our evenings at the house after skiing, relaxing around the fireplace in the great room. The hot tub and game room were a fun bonus. The most awesome thing was we were able to utilize the ski/on-ski/off trails (which could be unpredictable this early in the season) located right outside the ski room door. Terrific accommodations, fabulous week at Big Sky!.- Debra Terry , Posted: 10/01/2020

We were 3 families with kids here for spring skiing. The house made it very convenient to come back for lunch. The ski-out access is via the back of the house. You can put your skis on right outside the mudroom and shuffle to the trail, or you can walk a few steps. In any case it is not strenuous at all. The ski-in can be a bit tricky, but luckily the property has a how-to video that you can watch. Both ski-in and ski-out are appropriate for little kids/beginners. Skiing in does require crossing a road, and by the end of out trip, the snow had melted on the road so we undid our skis there and walked a short distance. Again, nothing strenuous. The large mudroom and boot dryer were life-changing. Not sure we could ever do a ski vacation again without these amenities. House was clean and kitchen well stocked. A few maintenance issues were addressed by the property management company. Overall an excellent vacation. Would definitely come back!- Minnelly L , Posted: 10/01/2020
