SPRING SERIES APRÈS

Join in on the fun every Friday at Everett’s 8800 and Friday-Sunday in the Mountain Village Plaza—don’t forget your themed outfit!
Spring Series returns bigger and brighter. There’s no better way to wind down after a long day on the slopes or kickstart your weekend with a bang than après. Catch live DJs at Everett’s 8800 or in the Mountain Village Plaza. Grab a drink on the Everett’s 8800 deck or from the Umbrella Bar and get ready to dance in your boots (sorry, skiers). We can’t wait to see you there!

SHEDHORN SKIMO
March 16
The Shedhorn Ski Mountaineering Race returns to Big Sky this March! In this world-class endurance race, you’ll work against gravity and come away knowing you completed the toughest SkiMo race course in the country. Taking you up long climbs and down big mountain descents like the Big Couloir, this race is not for the lighthearted.

16+ miles | 8,000 vertical feet
PREVIEW THE SHEDHORN ROUTE
Summiting Lone Peak twice and decending the classic Big Couloir, this route’s ups and downs are sure to test even the most advanced athletes. This is a technical ski mountaineering race and is designed to test multiple skill sets:
- 4 alpine climbs with exposure over cliffs and avalanche paths
- Max elevation of 11,166 feet above sea level
- 50°+ boot packs
- 4 alpine ski descents on 45°+ terrain
The Pronghorn
7+ miles | 4,500 vertical feet
PREVIEW THE PRONHORN ROUTE
Climbing to the top of Lone Peak, descending the Big Couloir, and then up and over the Headwaters Ridge, this shortened version of the Shedhorn is still a test of mountaineering feats:
- 2 alpine climbs with exposure over cliffs and avalanche paths
- Max elevation of 11,166 feet above sea level
- 50°+ boot packs
- 2 alpine ski descents on 45°+ terrain
The Shedling
3 miles | 720 vertical feet
Kids get to join in on the (type two) fun! The Shedling is for junior mountaineers aged 14 & under, traveling up a skin track, transitioning to bootpack, and returning to the base area.

A DAY FOR JAKE
March 16
Join in on the fun for a global day to celebrate the legacy of Jake Burton Carpenter. Check in at the Burton store to enter the days raffle, pick up stickers and more (while supplies last). #rideonjake
Event Schedule
- 9 – 12 a.m.: Register and pick up raffle tickets at The Rider’s Room in the Mountain Village
- 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Check out our special park installation in the Powder Seeker Bowl
- 2:30 – 3 p.m.: Meet at the base of the Bowl for a cheers to Jake and a group ride down Upper Morning Star. Lift tickets are required.
- 4 – 6 p.m.: Après at Vista Hall with happy hour specials
- 5 p.m.: Raffle winners announced in the Mountain Village Plaza
